Your attorney or online service drafted the documents. Now you need a North Carolina notary at your kitchen table, with the time to do it right. One price for the whole signing, whether it is 12 signatures or 30, confirmed from photos of your documents before I drive. NC commissioned, 1,000+ signatures notarized, based in Huntersville.
North Carolina caps notary fees at $10 per notarized signature. One person's estate plan usually has 10 to 15 of them, a couple's 20 to 30, so the legal maximum runs $100 to $300. I charge a flat $100 for one person and $150 for a couple. That is what a signing with witnesses, oaths and a careful pace is worth, and it is under the state cap on every real plan.

Drafted by your attorney or an online service like Trust & Will, LegalZoom or Rocket Lawyer. I notarize what they prepared, exactly as their signing instructions say.
NC wills need two witnesses, not a notary. The self-proving affidavit does need one, and it saves your family from hunting down witnesses at probate. Testator and both witnesses swear before me.
Settlor and trustee acknowledgments, plus the short certification banks and title companies ask for when you retitle accounts.
Must be acknowledged before a notary to be valid in North Carolina. One signature, big consequences, done right.
Two qualified witnesses plus a notary on each. I walk through who can and cannot witness before anyone signs.
I notarize the grantor acknowledgment. Your attorney or a title company records it with the county.
Whatever is in the binder. If it needs a seal, it is covered by the same flat fee.
From your attorney or an online estate planning service. By NC law I cannot draft, fill in, or explain them, so bring questions to whoever wrote them before signing day.
Photograph every page that has a notary block (the ones that say State of North Carolina, County of, with a space for a seal). I count the people swearing in each one and reply with the exact price before you book. No surprises on either side. WhatsApp (980) 334-4072.
Use the checklist below. This is the step that decides whether your signing takes 30 minutes or 90. Every signer and witness brings an unexpired photo ID.
Evenings and weekends, at your home, office, hospital or care facility. Nothing is signed before I arrive. Signatures, oaths, seals, and you are done.
Nine out of ten signings that run long have the same cause: a witness who is late, does not qualify, or was never arranged. Sort this before you book and we are done in under an hour.
Two adult witnesses: the will, the health care power of attorney, the living will.
Notary only, usually: durable power of attorney, trust, certification of trust, deed, HIPAA release.
Your attorney's instructions win if they say otherwise.
An adult who is not named in your documents, not related to you by blood or marriage, and for the health care papers, not your doctor and not employed by your hospital or care facility. Neighbors, coworkers and friends are the usual answer. Two neighbors on a weekend evening is the classic move.
I cannot serve as one of your witnesses on a document I am notarizing, and I cannot bring witnesses as part of the flat fee. If you truly have nobody, say so when you book and we will work out an option before the date.
Every signer and witness brings an unexpired government photo ID. Do not sign anything early. Have the drafter's sign-here tabs in place and both witnesses in the room when I arrive; the flat fee covers one continuous session, so if the group is not ready we pick a new time rather than run a two-hour signing. The person signing must be awake, alert and willing; I cannot notarize for someone who is sedated or cannot confirm they understand what they are signing.
Based in Huntersville. No travel charge across the core area below. Anywhere else in the Charlotte metro by arrangement, with mileage agreed in writing first.

I started notarizing for neighbors in Concord and Huntersville and passed 1,000 signatures before I put up a website. Estate plan signings became the thing families asked for most: someone who shows up in the evening, knows the witness rules cold, and does not rush a 78-year-old through a stack of documents. That is the job.
Everything else I notarize, at $5 a signature, is on the main page.
Text or WhatsApp a photo of your signing instructions and the evening you have in mind. I confirm the price and the witness plan the same day.
